I think the information would really help media A2 students and it will really benefit them in their A2 media exam, especially the critical perspectives aspect.
In the exam, they could compare their technological experiences with the experiences of older siblings or perhaps even consider the future of the media revolution, what will media be like in 10 years? Will the way we work, show, and perhaps even live change?
Simon Panrucker could also give his view about what effect the evolving media has had on his work, if any. He could explain the ways he has used the internet to show many of his videos, blogs and work throughout to the world, something which would not have been available 10 years previously.
Overall, I think this is a great idea for an article for the newspaper and also shows a little though about layout too, although the information of course is essential first and is all together more important.I hope that the class would perhaps consider this as a possibility, and of course an interview with an actual media practitioner would be a great step up in the exam.
It would show the students that they could talk about similar media practitioners in the exam and how the arrival of web 2.0 has made a change in their life throughout their career.
Simon Panrucker has relied quite heavily on the internet to show and exhibit his work, this would have been different 10 years ago, and could perhaps be even more evolved in the future.
